Concern Expressed At Hawera (New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 23. The jd per lb drop in the price to be paid to farmers for their baconers next Monday disturbed the Taranaki District Pig Council at it* meeting at Hawera to-

With the price to farmers at Is 4Jd per lb for porkers and Is 4d from next Monday for bacon pigs, there was something wrong when the consuming public was asked to pay as much as 4s per lb tor fresh pork in some peaces and 4a 3d per lb for bacon.
