Attraction At Party For David Dufek
The escapades of American cowboys and the antick of comedians as watched by millions of American children on coast-to-coast television in the United States will entertain a group of Christchurch children in the city on Sunday afternoon.
The lucky children, many of them pupils of St. Andrew’s College, will’be with David Dufek—younger son of Rear-Admiral George J. Dufek—celebrating his ninth birthday. • Two of the films were brought to Christchurch by Admiral Dufek when he returned to the city from the United States early last month. Other films are from the United States Navy.x One of the admiral’s films features an interview he gave on the Captain Kangaroo television show—a children’s programme on which the admifal spoke on the work of the United States expedition 'in Antarctica. About 17 children will attend the party, which will be held in the United States Navy headquarters in Kilmore street.
