GREASY WOOL CHEQUE
£64m For 1957-58 Season (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. July 3. Greasy wool auctioned in New Zealand for the 1957-58 season realised £64,073.721, compared with £81,547,016 in the previous season and £66.022.929 in 1955-566 This figure includes the sale of about 47.000 bales bought by the Wool Commission for ultimate resale, but does not include scoured w ool sold in New Zealand or any wool sold or to be sold by auction or private treaty in London and elsewhere. It is therefore expected that the total seasons’ clip will bring, as ea ™ er forecast, about £85,000,000.
