Search For Sunken Gold
(N.Z. Press Aisoctanon— Copyripftt) (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) HERMANUS (Cape Province). June 23 A diver will today make another attempt to locate a hoard of golden sovereigns in the sunken British troopship Birkenhead, which was wrecked off Hermanus in 1852. The diver, Nick Dekker, on his first attempt yesterday found the water above the wreck so murky at a depth of 40 feet that he was unable to see his hand in front of his goggles.
