“ELECTION SOON IN BURMA”
NEW YORK, June 21. The Prime Minister of Burma (U. Nu) said yesterday that because of the small majority held by the Government there would obviously have to be national elections soon, a “New York Times” correspondent reported today from Rangoon. If developments made it necessary for the best interests of the nation, an election would be held “even in the monsoons.”
