ANZAC MEMORIAL AT PORT SAID
Re-erection Plan In Australia (N.Z. Association —Copyright) PERTH, April 11. The World War I Anzac memorial at Port Said, damaged
during the Suez crisis, may be re-erected in Australia.
The president of the Western Australian Returned Services League (Mr W. S. Lonnie) said last night that Australian and New Zealand servicemen were determined to have the memorial brought back and, if possible, repaired. If this could not be done, he would ask the national executive of the R.S.L. to establish a fund to have a replica built.
