REFEREES ELECT OFFICERS
Mr A Smale was elected a life member of the Canterbury Referees' Association at the annual meeting of the association recently Messrs W Duggan. E. A. Empson. A. R. Henderson, C. R. McCallum and Smale are now life members of the association. The following officers were elected:—President. Mr B. J. Drake; immediate past president. Mr S. W Whiteford: vice-presidents. Messrs R. G. Condliffe and L. S. Kirk; executive. Messrs R. E. G Cameron. D J. Cunningham, L. A. Mahoney, J. P. Malcolm, and K Noonan; secretary, Mr K. J. Jensen; treasurer. Mr W. H. Fright; representative on C.R.F.U. management committee. Mr B. J. Drake; representative on C.R.U. competitions committee. Mr A. J. Lazarus; delegate to New Zealand Rugby Referees’ Association. Messrs C. R. McCallum and S. W. Whiteford: coaching instructor, Mr C. R. McCallum.
