British Treasury Surplus

Treasury returns for the British financial year ended yesterday showed a surplus on ordinary revenue of more than £423 000.000. compared with the 1956-57 surplus of £289.781.587.
In the Budget a year ago. a surplus of £462.000.000 was estimated, but supplementary estimates reduced this to £316,000,000.
