U.K. Aircraft Exports
Aircraft industry exports from Britain during January and February set a new record—4s per cent, up on last year’s equivalent figure. Exports during those two months were at an annual rate of £145 million, compared with last year’s record total of £116.500.000. This was announced by Mr E. C. Bowyer, director of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors, who added that applications for stand space at this year’s Farnborough air show had also set new records.
Avonhead Road.—By a special order, the Paparua County Council last evening changed the name of Coringa rojid, Harewood, to Avonhead road.
