SHEEPDOG TRIALS Hilton-Gapes Valley Event
Successful trials lasting into a third day were held by the HiltonGapes Valley Collie Dog Club. The trials were held on the properties of Messrs J. Hand, I. Waters, and R. Turnbull, at Beautiful Valley with sheep loaned for the occasion by Mr J. Christie. The catering arrangements over the three days were in the hands of the Capes Valley Country Women’s Institute.
Judges for the trials were Messrs P. Lundy (huntaway) and T. Latter (heading), both of Oxford. Results: Zig-zag huntaway: open. J. Lory’s Jack the Third, 90 points, 1; F. Jones’s Dick. 96, 2; R. M.
