I The Banks Peninsula Cruising ' Club held its final event for the • season on Saturday, when 16 yachts in an eight-mile. harbour i race. Fastest time went to Tucana (L. Bachop and C. Dickie), who completed the course in Ihr 40m in. On corrected time, however Bona <J. A. Harrison) was first,' with April (K. Duggan) and Mana (O. H. White) second equal. Poland). Cressy (R. Bargrove), Katrina (K. Isle). Stewart’s Gully Club The third and final race for the Eva Hovell Trophy was sailed at Stewart’s Gully yesterday in perfect conditions. T. Lance won the trophy with 200 points, and R. Falkingham was second with 173 points. Third placing went to Gwenalyn (Don McIntosh) with 101 points. Women’s Races At Lyttelton Three sailing races were held at Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon by the Canterbury Yacht and Motorboat Club. Two of the races, a championship event and a handicap race, were for women skippers. Results:—

Championship section, for the Hobbs Memorial trophy: Pinta (Mrs J. Morrison), 2.45.26. Handicap section, for the F. I. Sutton Cup: Siesta (Mrs A. Burgess), 2min, 2.45.4, 1; Tresta Tu (Mrs B. Bowater), 2min, 2.45.47, 2; Concern (Miss S. Lance). 2min. 2.45.56, 3; Johanne (Miss P. Wighton), 3min. and Cherie (Miss B. Lindsay), 3min. 2.46.5 (equal), 4. There were 11 starters in the 4wo sections.
