JET BOAT'S TRIAL RUN ON THE ESTUARY.—This twin-jet boat, the first to be built in New Zealand, had successful trials on the Estuary yesterday. Designed by Mr C. W. F. Hamilton, of Irishman Creek Station, the boat will be used for passenger transport through the boulder-strewn rapids on the Wanganui river. She draws only eight inches and can travel a t more titan 30 miles an hour. Twelve passengers can be carried.
