Terrorists Caught In Cyprus
(Rec. 8 p.m.) NICOSIA, March 23.
Five prominent members of Eoka, the Cypriot Greek terrorist movement, are reported to have been captured in Cyprus. The identity of the men was not immediately known. Their arrest came at the end of a week of intensive search operations and a wave of arrests throughout the island. At the same time, Eoka acts of sabotage continued day after day. The Governor of Cyprus, Sir Hugh Foot, cancelled plans to attend a cocktail party at Nicosia’s R.A.F. station as news of the arrests reached him.
