Three form horses —Clinker, Summersette and Brookside—are expected to figure prominently in the finish of the King George Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. double on the opening day of the Manawatu Racing Club’s autumn meeting 'at Awapuni tomorrow. Clinker and Summersette ran second and third in the President’s Handicap, of one mile and a half, at Trentham last Saturday; and Brookside, the winner of eight races this seasrti, was* successful at his last start at New Plymouth, over one mile and a quarter. The distance of the King George Handicap is one mile and three furlongs.

Big Blow, a six-year-old from Takanini with a sound background of form, and Gold Pin, a winner at Masterton at his last start, are expected to be the best of the others.

The second leg of the double is the J. M Johnston Memorial Handicap. The best backed runners are likely to be the Woodville sprinters. Privy Council and Happy warrior. The Fiftieth Manawatu' Sires’ Produce Stakes promises a keen contest, as some of the leading two* yeqr-olds are engaged and this is the first time that they will have run over seven furlongs in a race confined to horses of this age.
