The levy of 30s per ton is payable on all table potatoes whether under contract to the Board or not, except on single sack sales direct to’ consumers for their own use. COUNTY OF KOWAI NOTIFICATION OF WEIGHT

LIMITS FOR BRIDGE WHEREAS it is provided by Regulation 9 (1) and (2) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations, 1955, that no person shall operate on or over any bridge which is under the control of a controlling authority any heavy motor vehicle which exceeds the weight limits for the time being in force and fixed with respect to that bridge, pursuant to the said regulations. Notification is hereby given that the Kowai County Council, being the controlling authority in respect of Amesbury Road Bridge, situated on the Amesbury road, in the County of Kowai, has fixed as from the 22nd day of March, 1958, the following weight limits for heavy motor vehicles using the said bridge, that is to say: The maximum weight of any such heavy motor vehicle and its load shall not exceed 2 tons: The maximum portion of the weight of any such heavy motor vehicle and its load (including any equipment or accessories) transmitted to the road surface by the tyre or tyres which are attached to the wheel or wheels on any one axle shall not exceed 11 tons. Attention is called to Regulation 17 of the said regulations, which fixes a penalty of £5O for each offence against the regulations. G. A. HAY, Controlling Officer. The maximum portion of the weight of any such heavy motor vehicle and its load (including any equipment or accessories) transmitted to the road surface by the tyre or tyres which are attached to the wheel or wheels on any one axle shall not exceed 5 tohs.
