EXPORT MEAT SCHEDULES

Further Rise In Beef Prices

Furt—r rises in prices for nearly all grades of beef are shown in the latest export schedule, which will become effective on Monday. Only the two grades of G.A.Q. ox over 8011 b are unchanged. The price increases for other grades range between 5s and 10s. One grade, F.A.Q. cow, has been raised 35s per 1001 b, from 85s to 120 s. In this rise for F.A.Q. cow can be seen the influence of the abnormally high demand for New Zealand frozen beef in the United States this season. This graoe has now been raised to the same price as the boner cow, as the increasing demand for this type of meat has increased its value as a boner proposition. Prices in the latest schedules, which become effective on March 24. with the variation since the previous schedule, are:— Beef
