MISTING NOW FAVOURITE

Golden Slipper Stakes (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, March 20. Misting today came through his final trial for the £lO,OOO Golden Slipper Stakes in brilliant style. His three furlongs in 35Jsec at Posehill was all that was necessary for him to become the favourite for the big race on Saturday. The most pleasing feature of his trial was the way he handled the reverse . way of galloping His jockey, A. Ward, was delighted with the colt’s effort and said he was now confident of success on Saturday. Ward, who made a special trip to Rosehill to ride Misting, said, "The thing I wanted to find out mopt was the way he handled the course. He went round the rail as though he had been galloping this way all his life." Cerasus. considered to be Misting’s most dangerous rival, pleased with his work at Randwick.
