Gadsdens.—J. Gadsden (New Zealand), Ltd., has announced an unchanged interim dividend of 4 per cent., payable on April 14. Last year’s total dividend was 8 per cent., but the directors point out that, in view of the fact that the final dividend will be paid on increased capial, the rate of the Interim dividend is not necessarily a guide to the rate which the directors may decide to

recommend as a final dividend. The shares are ex dividend on March 27. —(P-A.)

Halswell Rates.—At the penalty date for rate collection in the Halswell County 99.3 per cent, of of the total levy had been collected.
