BEEF SCHEDULE INCREASED
Unexpected Move In North Island (New Zealand Press Association) HASTINGS, March 19. An unexpected lift in the North Island export schedule for some classes of beef is believed to be a reaction to the announcement of American plans to import New Zealand cattle on the hoof. It is only two days since the schedule was raised by an average of 5s per 1001 b and the latest increase which became effective in the North Island today lifts the price of ox beef by another 10s. Heifer and cow beef is unchanged. The new North Island schedule for ox beef is:— Per 1001 b G.A.Q.— Under 8001 b .. 125 s 801-8401 b .. .. 115 s Over 8401 b .. 110 s F.A.Q.— All weights .. .. 120 s
