PHOTOGRAPHERS’ SUPPLIES
Submissions To Minister Professional photographers throughout New Zealand are sure that the present import restrictions on the supply of *‘sensitised surfaces” will cause serious hardship to their industry If no relief is given by the Government within the next month or so. Representatives of district councils of the Institute of New Zealand Photographers are to meet tin, Wellington on March 31 to collate'Mit submissions which will be presented to the Minister of Customs (Mr Boord) the following day. This was announced in Christchurch by the president of the institute (Mr G. C. Wood), after a meeting Of local photographers. The Minister had previously been approached by the institute and had asked that written submissions be presented to him, said Mr Wood. Although the present restriction of film and sensitised paper was 50 per cent, of the 1050 import total, price, rises cut this down a further 10 per cent., he said.
