Australian University Team Arrives

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 19.

Twelve Australian university athletes—ll men and one girl—and their manager, Mr A. G. Booth, arrived at Whenuapai tonight to make a three-weeks tour of New Zealand. One more athlete, D. Wilson, will arrive on Monday. There are two Olympic Games representatives in the team, R. Joyce <l2O yards hurdles) and the captain, R. Parker (440 yards hurdles). Parker was a semifinalist in the 400 metres hurdles at the Olympics. The girl, Miss Charmian Dowe, is a sprinter, shot-putter and long jumper. The team’s itinerary is: Auckland, March 22; Hamilton, March 24; Wanganui, March 27; Wellington, March 29; Dunedin, April 2; Christchurch, April 5.
