Insurance For Ambulances

Until the last two •or three months, attendants in ambulances were not covered by third party risk insurance, but the third party insurance pool has flow agreed to extend this cover to include not only patients and relatives in ambulances as previously. but also attendants. A meeting of the Canterbury and West Coast centre of St. John Ambulance Association was told this by the secretary of the centre (Major-General G. B. Parkinson). He said that previously attendants had been covered by workers’ compensation. The premium of the third party risk insurance was small.
