DAIRY FARMERS’ COSTS
Current Assessment Wanted
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 19.
The Auckland provincial executive of Federated Farmers today decided to ask the Dairy Board what steps it had taken since 1938 to maintain an up-to-date assessment of dairy farmers’ costs of production and, if no such« assessment existed, to have one prepared immediately. This decision followed a long discussion on the guaranteed price for butter and the fact that other organisations and individuals were expressing their views publicly on the matter while Federated Farmers remained silent.
