Lord Mayor Of London
“The ceremony and regalia and all the tradition of the enstating of a Lord Mayor of London in the Guild Hall is really wonderful. 1 think it keeps the city of London a centre of the Empire,” said Sir Cullum Welch, who was Lord Mayor of London last year. He was speaking at a meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Royal Empire Society. He was welcomed by the president (Mi R. R. Livingstone). Sir Cullum Welch was accompanied by Lady Welch and Mr A. W. Freeman and Mrs Freeman. Mr Freeman is travelling with Sir Cullum Welch as an advisor.
