RANGI-RURU OLD GIRLS
Officers Elected
There were 61 new members and eight resignations in the Rangi-ruru Old Girls’ Association, said the president (Mrs C. F. Hart) in her report presented to the annual meeting of the association last evening. The seventyfifth anniversary fund had been increasing steadily, and donations during the year totalled £240, she said. A buffet tea was held in the assembly hall at Rangi-ruru before the annual meeting. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs J. R Dawson: vice-presidents. Mesdames C. F. Hart, J. J. Cuddon. and Miss N. Lough; secretary. Miss B. Webb; treasurer. Miss G. Allison; committee. Misses M. Waller (honorary life member), J. Hanna, B. Hale, A. Kay, Mesdames H. A. Bishop, J. Hewlett, J. S. Royds, P. Wilson, K. Shirlaw. and A. Nutt. A social gathering and the Douglas Cup tennis tournament opened the association’s annual reunion on Saturday. Children’s races and an old girls’ race were held during the afternoon, and a baby show for children under 18 months old. A special old girls’ service was held at St. Mary’s, Merivale, on Sunday.
