Man Drowned In Pool In River
(New Zealand Press Association) LEVIN, March 9.
A young man was drowned in the Tokomaru river this morning. He was:
Lawrence Walter Brougham, aged 26, of 90 Princess street, Palmerston north.
Mr Brougham was seen to swim across a deep pool, he dived to return across the pool, but failed to reappear. Mr K. Evans, of Feilding, made several attempts to locate Mr Brougham, but without success. The body was recovered by dragging about an hour later.
