FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation: An anti-cyclone extends on to New Zealand from the east and a low pressure trough extends from New South Wales to southern New Zealand. Forecast:— West Coast: Light or moderate north-east winds; overcast and mild; extensive areas of fog and drizzle. Outlook: unsettled. Nelson and Marlborough: Moderate north-east winds; cloudy and warm; afternoon showers. Outlook: similar conditions. Canterbury: Light variable winds inland; northeasterlies about the coast; cloudy to fair; temperatures warm. Outlook: some rain. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
