Organising Committee
The Parade of Homes Committee, which has organised the display, represents a variety of organisations. The chairman is the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr R. M. Macfarlane, M.P.). The Government is represented by delegates from the State Advances Corporation and the Housing Construction Division of the Ministry of Works. Other members of the committee represent the Christchurch Horticultural Society, the Chamber of Commerce, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the New Zealand Institute of Architects, and the organisations of master builders, sub-contractors, retailers, manufacturers, hardware merchants and timber merchants.
