STASSEN RESIGNS

(Rec. 8 p.m.) THOMASVILLE (Georgia), February 15. Mr Harold Stassen, President Elsenhower’s disarmament adviser, resigned today. The President’s press secretary, Mr James Hagerty, said that Mr Stassen had left in order to enter the Pennsylvania primary election In May as a candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor. Mr Stassen had made his own decision and had not been asked to resign, Mr Hagerty said.
