Cook Strait Power Cable

Sir, —I would be greatly pleased if our learned and far-sighted Labour Ministers brought about their proposed abandonment of the Cook Strait power cable. The area of flat, well-drained, semidesert country lying between Pukeuri and the Waitaki river is definitely the logical and most suitable site (of the whole country) for industries.
