RUGBY LAWS CHANGES
Dr. Craven’s Views (N.Z Press Association—Copyright > CAPE TOWN, Feb. 15. Dr. Danie Craven, the president of the South African Rugby Union Board, said in Cape Town yesterday that the International Rugby Board would again study the lineout rules when it met in March next year. Dr. Craven was speaking on nis return from the International Board's recent meeting in Britain, when changes were made In some of the laws. Asked whether he thought South African referees would have difficulties with the new rules, he said: "There may be some trouble with the knock-on rule, but I don’t think it will be long before referees are able to cope with the changes.” He felt that public opinion in Britain was behind the change in the knock-on rule.
