RECORD PRICE EXPECTED
Brother To El Khobar
(From Our Own Reporter) WELINGTON, January JBl. A new record for the national yearling sales is expected at Trentham tomorrow when Mr F. R. Robertson, proprietor of Platform Farm, the birthplace of Rising Fast, will offer a brother to El Khobar. El Khobar’s brilliant win in the United States last week-end has excited further interest in his yearling brother, one of the best-developed youngsters in the sale. The record price for the sales Is 5000gns paid by Mr C. Neville for Dalstar. a half-brother by Count Rendered to his champion stayer Dalray. El Khobar’s brother, a brown colt by Gabador from the Theio mare Gay Abandon will be offered early
It Will be surprising if the leading Australian buyers are inactive on his arrival in the sale ring. It should be all over in a few seconds—Time does not drag when there is a wellbred youngster of quality and a relation of a champion in the ring.
