Geyser Valley Visited
(New Zealand Press Association) TAUPO, January 21. Mr Macmillan and his wife had a warm welcome from about 100 persons gathered outside the Wairakei Hotel a few minutes before 6 o’clock this evening, and they obligingly posed for amateur photographers. They were taken to Geyser Valley, and Mr Macmillan said later that he had never seen anything like it. Tonight. Mr A. C. L. Fooks. project engineer ait the Wairakei geothermal works, and Mrs Fooks met the Macmillans, and Mr Fooks gave a background of the project. Tomorrow morning, the Macmillans will see the project before they continue their journey to Wellington.
