.The first New Zealander to become a member of the Royal New Zealand Navy Board, Commodore Peter Phipps, will deliver the Anzac Day address in Christchurch on April 25. A letter from Commodore Phipps accepting the invitation was received by the executive of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association last evening.
Mr Brinsley D. Inglis, of Wellington, has gained a doctor of laws degree at the University of Chicago. Mr Inglis went to Chicago 18 months ago on a British Commonwealth fellowship. He then studied at the University of Michigan where he has been for the last three or four months, and where he gained a research fellowship. Before he went overseas, Mr Inglis, who is aged 26, was in practice with a Wellington legal firm, C. J. O’Regan and Arndt—(PA.)
