Moira Shearer Aids Husband
Mpira Shearer, ballet, film and stage star, has taken on a new role. She is sharing the platform with her husband, Ludovic Kennedy, the Liberal Party candidate in the by-election for the sest of Rochdale, Lancashire. Kennedy has resigned from his job as a television news an* nouncer to fight the campaign. His wife has also abandoned two careers—as a prima ballerina and as a film star. She will be remembered best in Christchurch as the star of “The Red Shoes,” ‘Tales of Hoffman.” and “The Man Who Loved Redheads.” •Miss Shearer is not a newcomer to the hustings. She has addressed pohtical rallies in the past and has also been a member of a committee set up to abolish the death penalty.
