GOLDEN WEDDING
Mr And Mrs H. W. Waterman Mr and Mrs H. W. Waterman, who were married in the Oxford Baptist Church on January 15. 1908 by the Rev. T. Wagstaff, recently celebrated their golden wedding. After their marriage Mr Waterman worked as a baker for • a time and then took up farming. Both Mr and Mrs Waterman have lived all their lives in the Oxford district and have taken a keen* interest in the activities of the Baptist Church and the affairs of the community. For many years Mr Waterman was an enthusiastic member of the Oxford Brass Band and in recent years has been a member of the bowling club. Mrs Waterman has always been a keen gardener. Mr and Mrs Waterman’s family of five daughters and two sons, gathered with relatives and friends to celebrate the occasion on Saturday. Their eldest son died 14 years ago. They have 31 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
