MURDER CHARGE HEARING
Two Witnesses In Hospital (New Zealand Press Association) WHAKATANE, January 20. Depositions from two witnesses will be taken in the Whakatane Hospital tomorrow when Dan Donovan Ruahuihui, aged 29, a bushman, is charged with the murder of Margaret Waretini at Otakiri on January 8. The chief Crown witness was admitted to hospital on Sunday with abrasions and an injury to the neck suffered in a motor accident at Te Teko. Another witness is also in hospital as the result of an accident. There are 15 witnesses to be called, and the hearing is expected to last most of the day.
