FIRE IN JOINERY FACTORY
Damage Estimated At £lO,OOO
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 19.
Fire destroyed the joinery factory of John Hulse, Ltd., Mount Roskill. within an hour early this afternoon. The damage is estimated at £lO.OOO. All that was saved of the establishment, which had a floor area of about 3500 square feet, was a detached brick office.
No equipment was saved, and the loss included a three-ton truck which had been left in the factory Also lost was a certain amount of prefabricated building material.
Some damage was done by intruders in the factory last weekend and the matter has been re ported to the police.
