200,000 In N.Z. Industry
New Zealand industry, which employs more than 200,000 men and women, has shown remarkable expansion in recent years and is continuing to develop steadily. In Canterbury are some of the most important industries in New Zealand and they offer outstanding opportunities for youth. A large number of vacancies exist in industry in this area and apprenticeships are available in all types of industries and most can lead to worthwhile careers. In top management there is scope for the keen and conscientious, and in sales, production, accounting and advertising fields in industry there is the promise of well-paid, rewarding careers.
