LILY SOCIETY’S SHOW
Late Season Cuts Entries
Considering the weather this season, the standard was good at the New Zealand Lily Society’s show m Christchurch yesterday, according to the judges. The society considered that it was fortunate to be showing such a good display although entries of trumpet, hybrid and water Ulies had decreased because of the late season. Results were:—
W. F. O'Callaghan, 3 firsts, 1 second; R. G, Buchanan, 2 firsts, 2 seconds; Gordon Thompson, 2 firsts 2 seconds; Mrs I. Wood, 2 firsts. 2 seconds: Mrs D. Lamb, » firsts 1 second; A. I. C. McKillop. 2 firsts. 1 second; Mrs S. G. Prebble, 2 firsts; Mrs Jamison, 1 first, 2 seconds; J O Toole, 1 first, 1 second; Mrs Geoffrey Smith, 1 first; Mrs I. D. Wood, 1 A. Nettleton. 2 seconds. The judges were Mr S. Challenger and Mrs R. Merton (cut flowers).
