MURDER CHARGE
Woman Dies After Being Stabbed
(Neu Zeaiana Press Association) WHAKATANE, January 8.
After a young woman had died in the Whakatane Public Hospital early this morning from a stab wound in the breast, a charge of murder was preferred against Dan Donovan Ruahuihui, a bushman. aged 29 The dead woman was Margaret Waretini, aged about 23, of Lake Rotoiti.
She was admitted to hospital about 2.35 a.m. today and died soon afterwards. Ruahuihui. who appeared in the Whakatane Magistrate’s Court, was remanded to appear at Auckland on January 15.
