Obituary SQUADRON LEADER J. R. SCOTT
Squadron Leader John Robson Scott, of the Air Navigation and Air Signallers’ school at Wigram, died at the station headquarters yesterday. He had been ill for some time.
Born in Liverpool in 1920, Squadron Leader Scott served with the R.A.F. as a signallerair gunner in Coastal and Bomber Command from 1940 to 1946. He joined the in 1953 with the rank of flight lieutenant, and first served with the No. 6 Maritime Squadron in Fiji before being posted to Wigram two years ago.
He is survived by his wife. A service funeral will be held on Friday at the crematorium.
