WYNDHAM CUP TO LIBAN King’s Lace Wins Second Leg

It did not affect the track greatly, although it became greasy towards the end of the day There was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £40,496 10s, compared with £39,794 10s last year, an increase of £702. The successful double—Liban and King’s Lace—returned £42 7s for £l. G. W. Robertson, rider of Darby, and L. M. Casey, rider of Royal Summer, were both fined £5 for anticipating the start in the Kiwi Hack Handicap. A D. P. Wilson, owner-trainer of Brazier, Was questioned about the recent running of his horse, as compared with the improved showing he made in winning the New Year Handicap.
