PLOT AGAINST NASSER
Arrests Made In Cairo
(Rec. 10 p.m.) CAIRO, Dec. 28. Egyptian # authorities have opened an inquiry into the alleged plot to overthrow President Nasser and to restore the Egyptian monarchy, according to the Middle East News Agency. The plot was first revealed by President Nasser himself on Monday in a speech in Port Said. According to the semi-official newspaper, “Al Shaab,’’ the abortive coup was instigated by British Intelligence. The newspaper alleged that a relative of the former King Farouk, Prince Abdel Moneim, and his pretty wife, Nazli Shaa, had been arrested.
