(New Zealand Press Association) LEVIN, December 29. A man was drowned at Waitarerere beach at about 5.15 p.m. yesterday. He was Thomas Andrew Sanderson Moncrieff, aged 40, married, with four children, of 22 Brathwaite street, Karori, Wellington. The finding of Mr Moncrieff’s clothes on the beach at 7 p.m. led to an organised search and the body was discovered by the police half a mile south of the beach entrance. There was a large hole near where he entered the water and a strong undercurrent was present at the time.
