Bowls West Coast Pairs Championship
(From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Dec. 27. The West Coast Bowling Centre’! annual pairs championship was begun this morning after a postponement from the previous day because of rain. The greens were very heavy when play commenced in light rain after lunch, but the weather cleared and the greens became faster? The following qualified for postsection play on the Greymouth green tomorrow morning:— Blaketown green: Henham (Hokitika). Stokes (Cobden), 4 wins; Bellamy (Cobden), Crestani (Dunollie). Higson (Runanga), 3 wins. Karoro green: McGee (Cobden), Milligan (Cobden), 4 wins; Brown (Greymouth), Green (Karoro), 3 wins. Cobden green: Mercer (Greymouth), Harrison (Greymouth), 4 wins; Naisbet (Runanga), Goodall (Blaketown), 3 wins.
