Wadman) in the picture above, taken at the Waimakariri Sailing and Power Boat Club’s regatta at Kairaki last weekend, but the lower picture taken two minutes later shows their R-class yacht capsized by a very strong gust of wind. The yachtsmen had a lucky escape from being swept out to sea when the craft capsized near the bar.
