Salvation Army Rest Tent
For the footsore and weary, the Salvation Army's rest tent beside the handwork shed at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show will be a haven. Mrs T. D. Brunton, who was in charge yesterday, said that two divan couches have been provided for anyone who did not feel well, as well as forms and chairs to sit on “to take the weight off the feet.”
Cups of tea are provided free and donations put in collection boxes will go towards Salvation Army funds.
