1957 “TE KURA” MAGAZINE
Boys’ High School Publication
Volume 18 of "Te Kura.” the unofficial magazine of the Christchurch Boys’ High School, which is published "at spasmodic intervals” according to a note on the, title-page, is the most edition of this humorous publica-| tion. It contains 80 pages of humor-1 ous articles, cartoons, satires of topical features in other newspapers, and burlesque poems. The outstanding feature of the magazine, however, is its eight-page photographic supplement. The magazine will be on sale from today. One of the strangest articles in the magazine is one by "Phineas Walton” on the strange mystery of the Mary Celeste. In "The truth about the Mary Celeste,” he explains the mysterious disappearance of the crew from this famous ship by their having all dived overboard to rescue an early copy of “Te Kura” which had blown into the sea before the crew had finished reading.
