GARDEN PARTY AT “MONA VALE”

The friends of the Disabled Servicemen’s League held an enjoyable garden party on Saturday at “Mona Vale” Fendalton, the home of Mrs Tracy Gough. Mr D. W Russell opened the fete and thanked Mrs Gough for the use of her grounds. Mr Bradshaw. Mr A. Farrar. Mrs Gough, and Mr H. A. Bishop welcomed the guests. Good business was done at the stalls. The Riccarton Pipe Band played selections on the lawn. A puppet show, boating on the river and a children's fancy dress parade were held. Competitions were won by Mrs Bishop. Mrs Robert. Mrs Grainger. Mrs Midgley. Mr Neal Russell, and R. Campbell.
